Product Description With most speaker stands, you set the shaft-height first, then try to balance the speaker cabinet on top. There's no need to reach over your head, trying to balance all that weight with one hand while searching desperately for the mounting slot with the other. The 1 3/8-inch upper shaft can be widened to 1 1/2 inches with an included adapter to handle any standard speaker enclosure. Once you've got the speaker in place, just crank on the handle to raise it up. The handle is removable to accommodate any standard electric drill. With the press of a button, you can set the PA mains to just the right height. Some manufacturers use a plastic gear mechanism which may fail under heavy loads, but not On-Stage.
